Job Description
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Cashier Mail Processor. This individual will report to the Manager - Cash Receipts and is responsible for accurately recording revenue, cash receipts and mail opening for bank deposit.
This position will be based in our HFHI administrative headquarters office in Americus, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter checks for deposit into HFHI Systems; Reconcile and deposit funds. 35%
- Responsible for the identification and recording of transactional cash receipts into General Ledger or Financial Force systems. 25%
- Process mail donations and use mail processing machines.20%
- Ability to identify unusual transactions to manager. 5%
- Responsible for identifying and correcting rejected items from scanner or bank. 5%
- Communicates and corresponds with outside vendors (Bank and RP Solutions) or internal
departments. (RD, GL, Etc.) 5%
- Knowledgeable on input requirements for segmented transactions. 5%
Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience managing cash receipts with a strong 10 key calculator proficiency - being able to type 60 words a minute.
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a Financial Resource Department.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to identify unusual transactions.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement principles.
- Familiarity with Workday.
The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $15/hr.-$18/hr.
