Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a people-centered, purpose-driven and systems-thinking leader to fill the role of Operational Excellence Analyst within the organization’s U.S. Operations department and Operational Excellence team. The U.S. Operations department is solely dedicated to supporting and collaborating with the U.S. affiliated network of more than 900 local organizations across every region of the country.
The Operational Excellence team works closely members of the U.S. Operations department to holistically create, support and monitor operating standards to guide the U.S. affiliated network to success through safety, legal and regulatory compliance. The team proactively supports at-risk affiliates, helping them to manage risks and crises, partner with others towards a shared engagement and learning strategy, and take corrective action when needed. The Analyst will assess U.S. affiliate compliance to HFHI policy and core tenets and assist local affiliates with related risk mitigation. Work will address complex and high-risk areas (such as affiliate operations, governance, homeowner services, construction, ReStore operations, and public relations).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• General Risk Mitigation (80%)
o Assessing operational risk, strengths, and crisis response capabilities of local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. This includes reviewing new case information, drafting new case summaries for leadership review, and drafting letters and other documentation.
o Supporting affiliates' efforts to address high-risk complaints and crises and work on related risk reduction, operational improvements, and increased compliance with Habitat for Humanity standards.
o Analyzing related reports and policies and procedures received from affiliate leadership and assisting them to develop corrective action plans to address high-risk and compliance issues when needed.
o Facilitating critical communication among all pertinent parties (including HFHI staff, affiliated network leaders and organizational stakeholders).
• Team Priority Processes and Projects (10%)
o Collaborating on cases with other HFHI teams, such as Governance/Risk/Compliance, Legal, Public/Media Relations, Government Relations/Advocacy, Internal Audit, DEI, Safeguarding, and the Affiliate Support Center. Also works closely with most US Office teams.
o Collaborating effectively with other departments to design resources and materials to ensure successful service delivery to affiliates and to help protect the mission and brand of Habitat for Humanity.
• Supporting Casework Through Reporting and Training (5%)
o Collecting, recording, and analyzing data related to fieldwork, risk management and other administrative activities, including timely documentation of all casework in various systems. (Salesforce, EthicsPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
o Providing coaching and training for affiliates and US field staff to help affiliates address high-risk problems, manage and prevent crises, manage conflict, and create an atmosphere for success.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• Habitat for Humanity work experience or work experience with similar non-profit organizations.
• Certification related to nonprofit consulting.
• Knowledge, skill, and experience related to managing or conducting workplace investigations and related interviewing.
• Certification related to conflict resolution.
• Basic knowledge of nonprofit financial management and analysis.
• Experience with data tracking & analysis.
• Experience with Salesforce or other contact management software.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $59,590 to $70,100.
Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
