Location: Our Norwich Centres (with travel across Big C sites and events). Some home working may be possible informally
Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible working (regular evenings and weekends)
Salary: £25,902.14 – £28,583.75 FTE (£20,721.71 – £22,867.00 at 28 hours)
Contract: Permanent

About Big C
Big C is one of East Anglia’s largest cancer charities, having raised £50 million in 45 years. Each year, our supporters help us raise around £3 million to support people affected by cancer in our community.
We provide holistic care through Cancer Support Centres and Hubs, as well as online and telephone support via our Virtual Support Centre. Income comes from donations, local businesses, grants, legacies, and 11 charity shops across the region.

About the role
As our Health Academy Lead, you’ll play a key part in developing and delivering Big C’s Health Academy strategy and programmes. This includes overseeing flagship projects such as Get Moving, Walking Football, and a range of wellbeing events.
You’ll lead a small team of employees and volunteers, working collaboratively with colleagues across Big C and external partners to deliver inclusive, evidence-based health education that empowers people to improve their wellbeing.
This varied role is perfect for someone who:
- Has proven leadership and team management skills.
- Brings experience in community wellbeing, public health, or health education, ideally supported by an appropriate level 3-4 qualification.
- Can confidently design and deliver engaging training, educational or informative programmes.
- Is passionate about helping others live healthier lives and reducing health inequalities.
