Seats Incorporated, an established WI manufacturing firm founded in 1952, is seeking an HR Generalist for our Chariton, Iowa location.
About this Role
This support facility plays a vital role in our manufacturing operations, and the HR Generalist will be the primary resource supporting our local workforce. While opportunities for advancement may be limited due to the size of the site, this role offers a unique opportunity to wear many HR hats and participate in projects that support corporate-level HR goals, making a meaningful impact across all facets of the employee experience.
This position supports recruiting efforts, onboarding, and training in our corporate culture, while also providing the high level of HR administrative support that Seats is known for across its locations. From employee relations and benefits support to vendor coordination and workforce development initiatives, you’ll help ensure our Chariton team is engaged, informed, and well-supported.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate recruitment advertising
- Conduct interviews
- Create and maintain personnel files and other HR records
- Perform on-boarding and other training sessions
- Provide general employee relations support
- Provide benefits support for employee group
- Grant program management
- Support workforce development initiatives
- Communicate/Coordinate with onsite vendors
- Support fair and consistent workplace practices
- Work collaboratively with Seats HR colleagues at other locations
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years’ prior experience in a Human Resources support role
- Minimum Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
- Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred
