Make a real impact supporting families and tackling inequality. We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Programme Coordinator to help deliver one of the UK's most respected parenting programmes. If you're passionate about social change, thrive on responsibility, and enjoy working with people, across projects, and with data, research and communications, this is your chance to join a mission-driven team making a difference.
The Race Equality Foundation is a registered charity which tackles racial inequality to improve the lives of Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. We believethat everyone should be provided with the opportunities to flourish.
We do this by exploring what we know about discrimination and disadvantage, using that knowledge to develop interventions that will overcome barriers and promote equality, and disseminating this knowledge and good practice through training, conferences and written material.
The Foundation has delivered change through a range of ground-breaking projects. These include:
- the evidence-based Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) parenting programme
- the pioneering research and policy projects which explore the lived experience of Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, from the lives of young people with a disability to older people living with dementia, to the impact of climate change; and
- partnerships with other voluntary and statutory organisations, as well as universities.
We’re currently expanding the SFSC programme to include new online offerings and targeted initiatives around parental conflict and youth violence.
We are now seeking a Programme Coordinator to help us deliver these exciting developments.
You will be at the heart of programme delivery, ensuring that projects run smoothly and have the systems, communications and coordination needed to make an impact. You’ll also contribute to our research and evaluation work, helping us understand what works and who it works for.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident using digital tools, and enjoys working across a range of tasks. You will need to be self-motivated, flexible, and able to engage with delivery partners, funders, service users and researchers. You’ll be supported by a collaborative and values-driven team, and have the opportunity to grow your skillset across multiple areas
Main Responsibilities
·Maintain SFSC systems including contact databases, CRMs, course schedules and calendars
·Coordinate updates to SFSC parent-facing web pages
·Support the communications team with the SFSC newsletter and social media content

·Liaise with delivery agencies, funders, and partners by email and phone
·Coordinate logistics for online and in-person parenting programmes
·Respond to enquiries from parents and agencies
·Record actions from meetings and monitor follow-up
·Organise and support SFSC-related meetings and events
Additional Duties
·Respond to ad hoc information requests from the SFSC team
·Attend REF staff and management committee meetings
·Promote and uphold best equal opportunities practices
The Foundation has a strong collaborative ethos and attempts to ensure that this operates both with the agencies with which we work and between staff members and trustees. It is likely that there will be a great deal of partnership between this post and the SFSC team. Furthermore, the Race Equality Foundation is committed to staff development and the project will provide opportunities for capable candidates to develop their skills.
