Casual Event Coordinator, £12.60 per hour (plus holiday pay) and staff benefits
Lowry is a visual and performing arts venue situated at the heart of MediaCityUK in Salford, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.
Quays Culture is a cultural programme generated through a consortium of partners who are leading the way in the fields of digital media, broadcasting, education, business, sport, arts, culture and heritage. The aim of the programme is to enrich the location of The Quays, making it a visitor destination through a programme of arts and cultural events. Partners include BBC North, Lowry, IWMN, Salford University, Peel/MediaCityUK, Salford City Council, Trafford Borough Council,- (www.quaysculture.com).
We are looking for Casual Event Coordinators to work on a winter artwork installation; Lightwaves Salford 2025, running from 1-10 December 2025. As a Casual Event Coordinator you will supervise, support and enhance the public experience, operational delivery, and effectiveness of the winter artwork installation of the Quays Culture programme.
The role will require you to act as an ambassador for Quays Culture. You will be required to communicate well with the general public, handle queries and provide information and customer service in a welcoming manner, supervise the event and ensure the safety of the public.
The successful candidate will have previous event coordination experience, good communication skills, experience of providing customer service of a positive and welcoming nature and a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving
