Job Description

Your Role: As our Program Director II – Wellness & Aquatics, you’ll be at the heart of our health and fitness initiatives. You will lead our wellness and aquatics programs, ensuring they align with our mission and exceed expectations. Your role will be crucial in shaping the community’s fitness journey and promoting water safety.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 3-5 years in a leadership role within wellness or aquatics, with proven success in program management.
Skills: Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Proficiency in managing budgets and data tracking.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in wellness, fitness, or aquatics.
Passion: A dedication to promoting health and safety, with a commitment to our core values and mission
Aquatics: Previous experience in aquatics as a swimmer or a professional

Essential Functions

What You’ll Do:

Wellness Leadership:

Innovate and Inspire: Develop and oversee wellness programs that support diverse fitness needs and foster a culture of healthy living.
Program Excellence: Plan and implement engaging wellness activities that meet YMCA standards and cater to all age groups and fitness levels.
Wellness Advocacy: Promote holistic health and wellness, including nutrition and fitness, to enhance community well-being.

Aquatics Expertise:

Safety First: Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in all aquatics programs. Oversee lifeguard and swim instructor training, and maintain certification standards.
Program Development: Create and manage a dynamic aquatics schedule that includes swim lessons, fitness classes, and community swim events.
Team Leadership: Supervise and support aquatics staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and adhere to safety protocols.
