Supervises branch directors to ensure sound operation. Addresses the root cause of systemic issues rather than symptoms.
Ensures the operational quality and growth of the SAY through program expansion and innovation, member recruitment and retention, pricing strategies, targeted marketing, new site development, collaborations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Provides leadership and direction to the branches by coaching branch directors and by working in partnerships with the Summit and Berkeley Heights Advisory Committees.
Monitors monthly financial reports to assure that revenue targets and met and expenses are controlled.
Identifies potential areas for branch cooperative programming to accomplish SAY’s strategic initiatives and goals, including quality initiatives, and works with staff groups to develop and implement programs.
Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs and leads branch staff in the planning, development and implementation of new program initiatives and activities.
Provides membership, retention and program reports monthly to the President/CEO and, as requested, to committees and the Board of Trustees.
Implements and oversees Listen 360 evaluation system to guarantee commitment to the Y’s cause, and a high-quality commitment to SAY standards.
Develops performance indicators and action steps to assure implementation of the SAY’s strategic plan objectives.
Ensures the safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment.
Works and manages with multiple branch advisory committees of volunteers to ensure that community awareness, brand awareness, partnerships and philanthropic efforts all increase to maximum impact.
Fosters a spirit of staff appreciation and recognition through planned and spontaneous events.
Participates in local, regional, statewide, and national trainings and networking opportunities both within and outside the Y movement.
Represents the SAY with key community organizations and at SAY and community events, as required.
Serves as a member of SAY leadership and supports the overall mission and objectives of the SAY.
As an Ambassador for the Y, communicates to members, volunteers, and the general public that the Y is the nation’s leading non-profit committed to strengthening the community through Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
Demonstrates the Y’s values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
