We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a private philanthropic organization. The Legal Counsel will play an important role in executing legal strategies and ensuring compliance across various jurisdictions. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Legal, lead various legal projects, and collaborate in designing and overseeing the implementation of risk management processes. Fluency in English and German is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key tasks/responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including partnership and consultancy agreements
Oversee the implementation of organization-wide compliance processes
Offer legal counsel on Swiss law; monitor developments in laws and regulations affecting foundations and investment funds
Serve as a company secretary for the organization's Swiss entities; prepare filings for supervisory authorities
Develop a vendor management process for external counsel; supervise external counsel in specialized areas

Experience & Qualifications:

University degree in Swiss law
Prior experience working in an international environment; previous work experience in Swiss corporate law or asset management industry in Switzerland is required
Familiarity with regulations surrounding non-profit organizations in Switzerland is an asset
Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal is required
Demonstrated proficiency in drafting, communication, and a strong attention to detail
Highly organized and efficient, with a proven ability to lead projects and meet established timelines
