DescriptionPosition Summary
The Assistant Manager, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will advance the philanthropic mission of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center by assisting with the cultivation, stewardship and fundraising activities of local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Partners for Connecticut Children’s Foundation.
Responsibilities
- Manages an active portfolio of donor and prospect relationships capable of supporting Connecticut
Children’s through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
- Maintains working knowledge of all CMN Hospitals programs.
- Develops strategies, executes proper training exercises for volunteers to support events and helps facilitate attainment of fundraising goals.
- Proactively seeks informational needs of internal/external customers and uses customer feedback to assess, determine course of action and implement plan to improve/enhance services.
- Collaborates on general and tailored donor stewardship strategies that strengthen relationships with assigned and prospective donors; establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal/external customers and works to develop trust that delivers success.
- Supports initiatives identified by Connecticut Children’s senior management.
- Facilitates appropriate acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship of gift commitments.
- Performs additional activities related to the Foundation’s efforts as required.
- Demonstrates support for the mission, values and goals of Connecticut Children’s through behaviors that are consistent with the Core Behaviors and Leadership Behaviors.
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and donors.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of one-year experience in fundraising, public relations or related field is preferred.
Experience in implementing special events preferred.
License and/or Certification
Required: Valid driver’s license for use in the State of Connecticut.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Must possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems.
Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
