Assurance Principal- Yellow Book, Uniform Guidance, & Nonprofit
This role is open on OH, PA, NJ, NY, and FL.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years previous public accounting experience with a concentration in Single and Yellow Book Audits.
- Candidates should possess solid research and writing skills, excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.

CPA designation required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the Firm’s Single Audit/Yellow Book practice by either serving as authorized signer or quality control reviewer on all applicable engagements.
- Ensure the highest standards of audit quality and compliance, staying up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Support engagement teams with technical guidance, engagement planning and reporting issues specific to Yellow Book/Uniform Guidance.
- Support the training of team members; offer guidance and direction, give constructive criticism of working papers.
- Assist Firm quality control processes for Yellow Book/Uniform Guidance engagements.
- Detail review working papers.
- Review any significant engagement findings that raise questions involving accounting principles, internal controls, compliance, or financial statement presentation.
- Review financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, supplementary information.
- Evaluate team members and foster professional growth.
- Serve in educational programs, as an instructor or discussion leader.
- Oversee the financial performance of assurance engagements, including budgeting, billing, and profitability analysis, while ensuring the efficient use of resources.
- Identify additional areas of work, i.e., work beyond the scope of the engagement letter, estimate the amount of time and receive client approval before commencing work.
- Present financial statements and other deliverables to management and members of governance.
- Represent the firm at industry, networking, special social events, and private functions.
