Opportunity Overview: Corporate Relations Manager
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County is seeking a Corporate Relations Manager to sustain and grow investment in young people and their great futures.
The Corporate Relations Manager will join a high-performing Resource Development team and play a critical role in deepening partnerships with the business sector. The Corporate program is on a growth trajectory, and this role will be pivotal in maintaining this and reaching a 50% increase over three years.
With that focus on growing philanthropic giving, connecting business leaders and employees with meaningful volunteering is a key part of this work.
The Corporate Relations Manager reports to the Director of Institutional Giving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grow the corporate partnership program, including individualized relationship and investment opportunities, focusing on annual and multi-year partnerships.
- Maximize corporate volunteer programs to deliver mutual benefits that inspire long-term relationships.
- Ensure high-quality stewardship and visibility/acknowledgment of corporate partners within a mission-led approach.
- In partnership with the Grants Team, drive innovation and ambition throughout the Institutional Giving strategy; setting goals and benchmarks to achieve individual and team annual revenue targets.
- Develop collaborative cross-functional relationships with members of the Resource Development team, as well as Club staff throughout the organization
- Adhere to the highest ethical standards; demonstrate empathy and perseverance.
- Commit to and practice the ten principles of community-centric fundraising.
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Dedication to achieving equitable youth development outcomes, including the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.
- Commitment to racial equity and social justice.
- Three to five years of progressively successful results in a resource development role.
- Demonstrated success in advancing relationships and strengthening investment from corporations and local businesses.
- Outstanding listening skills and the desire to hear people’s stories.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to inspire corporate partners through verbal and written communication.
- Proven track record of implementing high-quality and high-impact stewardship.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem-solve.
- Strong organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and achieve benchmarks on time.
- Strong data management habits; ability to track progress and accurately report results in fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge).
- Must be willing to travel throughout King County frequently.
- Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends, particularly for internal and external events
HOURS: Full-time
LOCATION: Club Service Center, 220 West Mercer St, Suite 410, Seattle WA 98119
SALARY RANGE: $70-78k annually
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Requirements: Long periods of being in a stationary position; operating a computer and other office equipment; frequently moving to/from various work areas; frequently communicating by phone and email; frequently remaining in a stationary position during meetings, discerning meeting content, and exchanging accurate information; frequently moving to/from off-site meeting and/or event locations; occasionally moves supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions: Primary location in a typical business office environment, with frequent meetings and event attendance at various off-site locations. The position is onsite/hybrid with the possibility of some work from home (2-3x per week).
