Position Overview
The Manager, Development develops and implements the processes and structures needed as well as effectively manage a staff, work closely with the Development Director to engage in externally facing activities, and ensure the successful achievement of the following: Fundraising structure, strategy, donor management, corporate and foundation management, major gift donor management, fundraising events, etc.

Opportunity to join a dynamic development team charged with private sector fundraising for national education nonprofit. Ideal candidate is a team player, creative, and detail oriented. This position will offer you an introduction into the world of fundraising, donor stewardship and cultivation, and civic engagement - all set against the educational landscape in Detroit.
Supports Development Director to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors with the potential to contribute $10,000 or more.
Supports department with grant application process and deadlines and the preparation of reports for corporate and foundation donors/prospects.
Supports site's external digital and print publications, including social media and e-newsletters.
