Community Living Mississauga has been a source of support for people who have an intellectual disability since 1955. Community Living Mississauga provides a variety of supports and services to people who have an intellectual disability, including: residential supports, employment resources, community engagement, Supported Independent Living, respite, and various day support options. Description of Position
The Data Clerk/Receptionist is a permanent, full-time opportunity. The Data Clerk/Receptionist is to mentor and model Community Living Mississauga’s Vision, Mission, Philosophy and Values and to effectively incorporate them into the day-to-day administrative operations of the agency. As well as to monitor the achievements related to Basic Assurances and Shared Values and to ensure that measurability is present in all cases.
Salary: $50,126.76
Description of Duties
Provides professional resource and support to people, families, organization and the community through reception duties.
Completes essential job duties in a thorough and detailed manner.
Remains current and informed regarding organizational information
Knowledgeable and pursues resources available in the community.
Acts as back-up/support as required.
Provide accurate and efficient Data Entry in the internal Database (AIMS), as well as process referral information from DSCIS (Ministry Database)
Assists with database entries and updates as required.
Sort and maintain agency central files of the people supported (active, closed, progress notes, etc.) as required.
Provide all reception coverage when the primary receptionist is unavailable to be at reception (lunch, vacations, etc.)
Respond to inquiries regarding general office administration including phone, fax, email in a timely and appropriate manner
Provide general administrative support including photocopying, faxing, emailing, form updates
As part of the overall team, assists with training set-up and support as required.
Knows and follows emergency back-up procedures.
Demonstrates effective use of technology
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A recognized certificate or Community College diploma in Office Administration
A minimum of 1-3 years full time relevant work experience at an administrative level in a non-profit or charitable organization.
Reception Skills (ability to manage busy multiline switchboard, greet public, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to apply time-management in a changing environment
High computer proficiency in programs such as MS Office, etc
Reception and switchboard experience
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Valid Ontario Driver’s license (Class G or G2) and insurance as well as access to a reliable vehicle
Fluent in French (or additional second languages)
