Competency Requirements
-Ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary team
-Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
-Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
-Must have excellent organizational skills
-Knowledge of functional behavioral analysis and positive behavioral interventions
-Knowledge of Department of Mental Health paperwork preferred
-Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging or stressful situations
-Ability to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with clients, families and staff
-Skilled in developing and modifying treatment plans as necessary
-Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Education and Experience
-Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology required
-Minimum 1 year experience providing community-based therapy preferred
-Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct behavioral support to children and/or adolescents with severe behaviors preferred
-Previous experience in a supervisory/management position preferred
-Previous experience collaborating with referring agencies (Department of Mental Health, Department of Probation, Department of Children and Family services, Los Angeles Unified School District) preferred
Certifications/Licenses
-Registered intern with Board of Behavioral Sciences (ASW, AMFT, APCC) or Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT)
-Valid California driver’s license
Additional Requirements
-Tuberculosis clearance
-Department of Justice/Fingerprint clearance
-Satisfactory completion of health screening
-Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
-Satisfactory driving record
-Must meet Child Abuse indexing requirements
-Current automobile insurance

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of a TBS Coordinator the employee is often required to drive, sit, walk and stand. The employee is occasionally required bend, kneel and use his/her fingers and hands to manipulate a keyboard or writing instrument

The work environment is indoor and outdoor. The noise level varies from quiet to loud
