General Function
The Dance Instructor will be responsible for implementing a community dance program and teaching a variety of in-person dance classes for preschool, youth and teens/adults.
Education/Experience/Training/Certifications
- A Higher Education in Dance or A Qualification from an Accredited College is preferred, not required
- Previous teaching experience is required
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaches using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced levels
- Develops dance curriculums and prepares lesson plans for 6-8 week sessions
- Choreographs routines and selects music for an end-of-session showcase
- Provides a fun and creative environment
- Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor
Abilities & Skills
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in all program activities
