Edify serves low-fee
independent Christ-centered schools through three primary avenues, including loans, training and education technology. Edify is focused on 3 key resources:
- Training of school leaders and teachers to develop Christ-like character in students, and training school leaders to manage and grow their schools effectively.
- Loan Capital to expand and improve school facilities.
- Education Technology to enhance learning outcomes and employability.

Work Environment:
The position is remote and may be based in any of the following Africa countries: Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Burkina Faso and Nigeria where Edify has (or will soon have) operations. The atmosphere of Edify is one where you can expect to perform widely varied tasks related to Christ centered education. Up to 25% travel may be required to gather information and feedback, implement training, or deepen insight on field work, as well as to Edify’s regional/ Global conferences.
Position Summary:
The Salesforce Enablement Officer plays a crucial role in maximizing the effectiveness of Salesforce across our organization, with a strong emphasis on user adoption, training, and data integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of Edify’s programming and the work of those who use Salesforce in Edify, as well as a solid understanding of the technical foundations of the Salesforce platform and a keen interest in expanding their technical
expertise.
In this role, you will support end users by enhancing their understanding and utilization of the
platform, ultimately driving Edify’s strategic objectives forward. You will also play a key role in ensuring data integrity, which is essential for accurate reporting and informed decision-making, enabling us to harness the full potential of our Salesforce investment. This position reports to the Sr. Salesforce Admin/Salesforce Lead.
Job Description:
Onboarding & Training
- Responsible for implementing the onboarding and training of Operations staff on the use of Salesforce.
- Maintain and update SF documentation and onboarding resources are up-to-date (including SF Knowledge articles, LMS content, etc.).
- Maintain regular group and one-on-one support where necessary to identify and address issues and ensure regular communication and transparency regarding system updates.
- Manage SF support ticket assignment & escalate as necessary; address escalations where possible.
Change Management & User Adoption
- Support the SF lead to identify, train, and support Salesforce champions to drive system adoption, data literacy, data integrity, reporting expertise.
- Regularly communicate changes, updates, tips, and best practices through a variety of channels (emails, release notes, meetings) to ensure transparency and adoption.
- Monitor new system features to ensure user adoption &; data integrity.
- Document system changes using the SF change tracking system (JIRA).
- Ensure Operations user requests follow the proper change management protocol.
System Configuration & Improvement
- Administer Salesforce access (user management, security, public groups, etc.).
- Stay informed about the latest Salesforce platform and app features, and under the leadership of the Salesforce Lead, work to modify EdifyDB to take advantage of new functionality.
- Perform standard SF administrator functions such as report/dashboard maintenance, field and object creation/modification, page layout updates, etc.
- Maintain and document SF security & permissions; oversee access to ensure data is protected but accessible.
- Learn and leverage native SF tools such as Flow, validation rules, formulas, etc. to support efficiency and data quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve or maximize efficient use of the system by engaging stakeholders through interviews, “ride alongs,” or focus groups.
- Work under the leadership of the SF Lead on the creation, testing, training and rollout of new system features.
Reporting & Data Quality
- Oversee SF dashboards and reports to ensure a unified data source for all stakeholders.
- Partner with stakeholders to achieve data monitoring goals; build & maintain reports and dashboards to ensure data goals are achieved in both volume and quality.
- Support the monthly, mid and year end data review process for board level and annual reports.
- Work with Impact and Audit teams to identify and resolve missing, incorrect, and duplicate data.
- Assist with the import of large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Development
- Work to build Salesforce skills to SF Administrator level, in order to have the necessary skills and experience to administer and leverage Salesforce to its fullest potential in forwarding the mission of Edify.
- Take initiative to learn and develop new Salesforce skills (using Trailhead, SF sandboxes, and other resources), explore new features, and investigate how to better use the platform to support Operations staff.
- Stay current with the Salesforce ecosystem, reviewing Salesforce release notes and new features to adapt for Edify’s needs.

Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with Salesforce (as a user or admin).
- 2 + Non-profit experience and/or experience working with international staff and have a good understanding of user interface with Salesforce.
- SFDC Administrator Certification (preferred, or willingness to work towards this within the first six months of the role).
- Familiarity with NPSP, Sales Cloud, Salesforce reporting and custom configuration.
- Experience in onboarding, customer service, or training.
- Experience in change management and user adoption strategies.
- Strong Excel skills (preferred).
Travel Expectations:
The position includes both local and regional travels. Additionally, Edify holds an annual all-staff meeting, alternating in a US-based or international location each year. All Edify Staff are required to attend this meeting.
