World Central Kitchen (WCK) seeks a talented relationship builder to fill the role of Manager, Corporate and Foundation Relations. This position will report to the Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations and is expected to have an entrepreneurial mindset and play a key role in building and strengthening our partnerships with companies, foundations, and their employees. This role will drive innovative collaborations that advance our work and mission. Corporate and Foundation revenue comprises about a quarter of our revenue each year.
This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This position is intended to be based in Washington DC, with 2-3 days on-site per week.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a portfolio of active and prospective private foundations and corporations by establishing relationships with key staff, soliciting and stewarding gifts, and deepening ties through authentic engagement opportunities. This will be done through phone/video conversations and through in-person visits.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Development to prepare and personalize written communications, including letters of inquiry, grant proposals, reports, decks, and periodic impact updates. Manage deadlines for all proposals and reports and maintain meticulous records in the CRM to track.
- Develop and execute innovative cause marketing campaigns that engage corporate partners, drive visibility for WCK, and deliver measurable impact.
- Achieve monthly cultivation, solicitation and stewardship targets and keep timely engagement records in Salesforce.
- Expand the universe of foundations and corporations that fund WCK by identifying prospective donors, cultivating relationships via outreach and events, and determining the right time to ask for support.
- Identify and secure in-kind gifts to support relief efforts.
- Integrate foundations and corporations into key moments throughout the year based on WCK’s calendar and the institutions calendar, primarily through campaigns.
- Build out a model of employee engagement that includes in-person or virtual learning sessions to provide deeper knowledge of our work, impact, and ways to get involved.
- 3-5 years experience building relationships with Fortune 500 companies. A demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating, and soliciting accounts is a must.
- Proficiency in Keynote or PowerPoint is preferred.
- Previous experience working within CRM, ideally with Salesforce.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can easily pivot to disaster response mode when needed.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Travel up to 25% will be required.
Preferred candidates will also have previous experience working in a fundraising, development, or an operations environment, experience coordinating with outside vendors, and multicultural experience.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD Per Year
