JOB PURPOSE\:
This position is responsible for leading all aspects of philanthropic prospect management including but
not limited to\: prospect identification and qualification, fundraising strategy development, gift officer
portfolio management, donor research and data procurement, Grateful Patient programmatic support,
development of key performance indicators and metrics, and provision of data intelligence in order to
drive the team’s success in reaching and exceeding aggressive fundraising goals. This role will also
create and maintain dashboards for annual giving, mid-level giving and major gift development teams with
a focus on identification and discovery prospect movement through our methods of fundraising.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and maintains donor pipeline and optimizes portfolio assignments to position fundraisers for
success in raising significant support for support system initiatives and priorities both on an annual
basis and within the direction of a long-term strategic plan.
2. In conjunction with fundraisers, develops/customizes cultivation and prospect development strategies
for major giving prospects.
3. Leads structured moves management meetings and conducts regular portfolio reviews with
fundraisers to monitor performance metrics and ensure actions, strategies, and revenue projections
are promptly and accurately uploaded to the database.
4. Assists in the development and fostering of effective collaboration between clinical departments,
divisions, medical staff leadership, and other affiliates (internal and external to Piedmont) to leverage
information resources, obtain Grateful Patient referrals, and assist fundraisers with developing
cultivation strategies aligned with Piedmont’s current goals and objectives.
5. Provides ongoing training and workflow optimization for new Foundation employees.
6. In conjunction with the Database Administrator, develops guidelines and provides education to
ensure prospect and donor data is properly maintained and coded within the CRM database
7. Uses data to produce reports highlighting fundraising key performance indicators and metrics and
provides recommendations to executive leadership.
8. Pursues utilization of industry best practices and implementation of resources such as external
databases and software systems to enhance and expand research capabilities and efficiencies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Research, or any related fields.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of experience with prospect management and major gift portfolio management with a
background in donor pipeline development across all aspects of donor engagement.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Healthcare experience preferred
Experience with implementing multi-level changes and initiatives preferred.
Progressive experience in data analytics, comprehensive research and/or financial analysis preferred.
