WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organisations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to be a part of its Rivers & Wetlands team. WWF-India’s Rivers & Wetlands programme is looking for a colleague to undertake programme coordination, programme development and monitoring & evaluation.
This position will be a part of a highly experienced team undertaking pioneering and exciting work and offering unique learning opportunities. You will be part of a team working towards protecting and conserving iconic and charismatic species that live in our rivers—the Ganga river dolphins, gharials, otters, turtles—to name a few.Together with various State Governments, local stakeholders, businesses and technical institutions, the Rivers & Wetlands team of WWF India is engaged in rejuvenation of over 700 kilometers of rivers and thousands of hectares of wetlands (small and big) across the country. This include include– rivers like the Ganga, Ramganga, Yamuna, Chambal, Beas, Brahmaputra, Noyyal, Bhavani, Arkavathy and wetlands of national and international importance (Keoladeo National Park, Harike, Upper Ganga). You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of hydrologists, water resources and river basin specialists, ecologists, aquatic biodiversity experts and social scientists and governance experts. This team works across multiple levels, from grass-root to district-level, state-level and central level; and from on-ground implementation to policy engagement.

Job Profile:
- Provide management and coordination support to the Rivers & Wetlands programme to ensure effective implementation of various projects fortimely delivery of outcomes and achievement of technical and financial targets.
- Coordinate with various pillars/field teams of the Rivers & Wetlands teams to ensure coordination and collaboration at various levels needed to implement field projects/activities
- Lead conceptualizing and developing proposals/funding proposals
- Support fundraising efforts in the team, including but not limited to responding to WWF-Network and external funding opportunities
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Coordinate and develop monitoring and evaluation plans for new projects consistent with M&E framework; create an eco-system of M&E resources in the Rivers & Wetlands team and train them on emerging M&E approaches/tools
- Undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of various projects using various tools and M&E frameworks; regularly monitor data inputs and undertake analysis of quantitative and qualitative datato provide inputs for adaptive management;Prepare field, technical and financial reports for WWF-India, donors and partners
- Contribute to the organisational level monitoring and evaluation initiatives
Requirements
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Abilities:
- Master’s degree in social science, development planning, statistics, management or related fields.
- Knowledge and experience in designing M&E systems and conducting evaluations
- 5-8 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, results based management in the development sector.
- Good understanding of development sector. Prior experience in the environment, conservation (including freshwater resources), related aspects and issues will be desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to take complex, technical information and translate it for non-technical audience
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, multitask and meet deadlines
- Understanding and knowledge of basic computer applications such as MS Words, Excel and database management Proficient in MS-office.
- Excellent writing and analytical skill in drafting concept notes and reports
