We
are seeking to hire a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to ensure the longevity
of the Lutzie 43 Foundation (L43F). The CDO
will report to the Executive Director (ED) and will work with the foundation
staff, board of directors, and third-party partners. You will be responsible
for planning and implementing strategies to secure organizations' investment in
the key elements of L43F’s mission offerings, including Safe Driving Summits,
43 Key Seconds, PFL Scholarships and general support of the organization,
oversee the business and donor fund development program, monitor development
activities, and address issues that may hamper growth and success

- Minimum of 4years of professional experience
- Proven record of success in business
development and/or fundraising.
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and
leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.

- Occasional
travel required.
The CDO

The
successful applicant should have proven experience in business development,
with experience in a non-profit organization or a similar environment and/or in
the transportation safety/risk management area being desirable (though not
required.) You must be motivated, have the ability to foster strong
partnerships, and have a passion for client acquisition and philanthropy.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the ED, staff, board of directors
and third-party providers to facilitate short and long-term strategic
plans.
- Work with existing L43F partners to deliver
new revenue growth while identifying prospective new partners.
- Partner with the ED to identify, analyze and
pursue additional avenues of growth and evaluate and quantify business
opportunities.
- Continually build capability and increase our
opportunity pipeline.
- Continually develop and refine the
foundation’s market focus in order to respond to evolving market
conditions, anticipated market changes and future opportunities.
- Keep abreast of developments in targeted
corporate, government, and education markets.
- Oversee development activities in
coordination with the ED and staff.
- Establish a balanced mix of corporate,
government and education revenue generating clients.
- Develop relationships with industry thought
leaders and influencers with the objective of enhancing L43F’s reputation
as an expert in safe driving advocacy.
Desired Outcomes:
- Assimilate effectively into
L43F’s culture and develop a strong understanding of our business model.
- Assist in developing a
strategy to build L43F’s current capabilities and plans.Work with our staff and colleagues to
build buy-in and accelerate adoption of 43 Key Seconds.
- Serve as a key contributor
in planning the foundation’s growth and value creation, while leveraging
the foundation’s strategic advantages and positioning in the safe driving
advocacy space
- Partner with the foundation’s
staff, board of directors, third-party providers, industry experts and
partners to catapult our impact to the next level of growth by developing
and executing an effective development plan.
Base Salary:$60K - $90K
Bonus/Commission:15 – 30% commission on gross new program
dollars generated.
Expected Total
Compensation:$120,000 - $220,000
