Raptors are beneficial to humans as they feed on carrion, thereby reducing harmful effects. However, despite their importance, raptors get little conservation attention and are becoming increasingly threatened. To address this gap, WWF India has initiated raptor conservation. WWF-India is seeking dynamic and self-motivated management graduates with backgrounds in biological sciences to assist in coordinating the program's projects to ensure their efficient and timely completion. The position requires related duties of program administration, outreach, education, management, and volunteer coordination, as well as building and maintaining relationships in the conservation space for raptor conservation. Apart from facilitating the technical outputs, other responsibilities include facilitating the development of proposals for conservation projects, supporting project management and monitoring and evaluation, engaging with key stakeholders (government and non-government agencies), and contributing to conservation research and technical output development. This position will be based in New Delhi at the WWF-India Secretariat.
WWF-India is an equal opportunities employer. Applications from qualified women are encouraged.
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian NGO pay scales and will depend upon the candidate’s experience levels and the overall WWF-India salary structure. WWF-India does not provide housing, telephone or vehicle facilities.
