Position Overview:
As the Shelter Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our shelter under the guidance of our Shelter Director. Key Responsibilities:
Direct Service: Actively intervene and assist during client crises, ensuring timely communication with case managers and the Shelter Director.
Program Operations: Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of shelter areas, manage inventory, and collaborate on staffing to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Volunteer Management: Serve as the primary liaison for volunteers, identifying needs and fostering positive relationships.
Security Monitoring: Keep a vigilant eye on shelter activity, ensuring safety through observation and effective communication.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols to protect all individuals on campus.
Who You Are:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have at least two years of experience in a social service environment.
Your strong organizational and communication skills allow you to maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate support.
You are experienced in crisis intervention, with a knack for diffusing potentially volatile situations.
You are adaptable, ready to pitch in as needed, and are committed to trauma-informed care and inclusivity.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
