Job Description

The Head of Development will provide visionary leadership to drive ambitious fundraising goals and elevate Indian arts globally. Responsible for building and managing a top-tier donor portfolio, the incumbent will craft a world-class development strategy, forging high-impact partnerships and expanding reach.

With a talent for storytelling and relationship-building, they will engage new audiences, exceed fundraising targets, and inspire action to enhance donor engagement and community impact. A passionate arts advocate and strategic leader, they will cultivate a strong team to position the venture for long-term success.

Beyond fundraising, they will shape the museum’s future through ethical, timely decision-making and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a transformative journey, deepening connections between art, community, and philanthropy.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Master’s/Management degree from a top institution.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in financial services or a relevant industry.

  • Essential Experience:

  • Proven success in multi-million USD fundraising, private wealth management, investment banking, or philanthropy with international exposure.
  • Strong background in donor engagement, audience development, and high-value fundraising.
  • Experience managing large-scale financial programs across diverse geographies; arts-related experience is a plus.
  • Track record of leading teams, building long-term donor relationships, and exceeding ambitious revenue targets.
  • Proficient in developing and executing strategic fundraising plans and budgets.
  • Skilled in data analysis for donor strategy and program tracking.
  • Experience in concept/solution selling to build patronage for new initiatives.
