We are seeking a Chief
Operating Officer (COO) who will play a crucial role
in overseeing and optimising EMKF day-to-day operations,
ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the
EMKF's strategic objectives. This role demands demonstrable
leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the
ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment. The COO will collaborate closely with executive
leadership to implement policies, streamline processes, enhance
organisational capabilities, and drive measurable impact.
Responsibilities
1.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and execute
strategic plans that align with EMKF's mission, vision,
and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate
progress towards objectives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Identify
opportunities for growth, innovation, and expansion to
maximise program impact.

Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day
operations across departments, including strategic management,
communication, programmes, and administration.
- Ensure the efficient
use of resources, adherence to budgetary guidelines, and
achievement of operational excellence.
- Establish and enforce
policies and procedures to streamline workflows and enhance
organisational performance.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, inspire, and
mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration,
accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and
support to department heads, promoting professional growth and
talent development.
- Encourage innovative
problem-solving and a proactive approach to achieving goals.
4.
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate and sustain
strong relationships with stakeholders, including government
agencies, donors, partner organisations, and community
leaders.
- Collaborate with
external partners to improve program effectiveness,
scalability, and sustainability.
- Represent EMKF at key
events, fostering trust and strengthening the organisation’s reputation.

Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure full
compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as
internal policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate
operational risks, proactively safeguarding organisational
interests and sustainability.
- Maintain robust
reporting systems to track and assess performance and
compliance metrics.
