Launched in 1983 as Public Interest Projects, a 501(c)(3) public charity, NEO Philanthropy is a New York based national leader in innovative philanthropic solutions. We lead large-scale collaborative grantmaking funds on a range of social justice issues, provide fiscal sponsorship and management to projects and campaigns, manage donor advised funds and develop organization and field-focused capacity building initiatives.
Position:
NEO Philanthropy is seeking a highly organized, emotionally intelligent junior project management professional to support our organizational development (OD) efforts for the role of Program Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives. Over the next 18 months, we will be engaged in several critical OD processes- strategic visioning, DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion), and board governance. Some of these efforts will be new and some- like our DEI work- is ongoing. NEO’s executive leadership team is deeply committed to the success of these initiatives and the Program Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives will be critical to ensuring strong communication, participation and execution and will play a critical role in the planning and execution of NEO’s Annual Staff Meeting/Retreat. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives but will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team. This position will also serve as administrative support for the Assistant Director (AD) of Strategic Initiatives.
Location:
NEO Philanthropy has its headquarters in NYC and the Executive department is based in that office. NEO HQ has a hybrid work remote structure based on job function. It is our expectation that this role will be able to be remote four (4) days of the week, with one (1) day in the office, to be determined, with additional in-person meetings required 6-8 times per year.
Vaccination Requirement:

Responsibilities:
- Overall process support including admin coordination for meetings, documenting program deliverables and follow-ups.
- Support project planning and following up on key program deliverables for NEO’s organizational development processes.
- Assist and support communication efforts to ensure transparency and accountability across NEO departments.
- With the support of the AD, Strategic Initiatives, ensure that multiple departments across NEO meet timelines and deliverables effectively and efficiently, including collaborating with departments to identify obstacles and necessary resources.
- Project Management support with benchmarks, and tracking, monitoring and measuring progress and outcomes.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of comprehensive executive-level insights and analysis in advance of key meetings.
- Assist the AD Strategic Initiatives in developing, analyzing, and presenting findings in response to the Executive team.
- Support annual meeting/retreat planning and execution.
- Collaborate with AD, Strategic Initiatives, NEO staff and consultants through our DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) committees to ensure that our planning processes advance NEO’s commitment to racial justice.
- Support the AD Strategic Initiatives, Executive team in maintaining the visibility of organizational development processes and initiatives with the staff, board & stakeholders.

Compensation:
Compensation for this role will vary depending on the experience of the candidate. The salary range for this position is $60,900 - $70,000 per year.
