Bilingual Developmental Therapy Associate

Reports to: Director, Birth to Three Services
Annual Calendar/ Waterbury Region
Full-time/37.5 hours week

The position is open until filled / Anticipated start date is ASAP

Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Developmental Therapy Associate for the Birth to Three Department. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently.

Major Responsibilities:

Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers, and their families in child’s home/natural-environment setting
Assist families with the implementation of functional, age-appropriate strategies
Develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) with families
Provide service coordination to families
Assist child with transition to preschool programming
Work in transdisciplinary team of Early Childhood professionals
Position requires home visitation and regional travel throughout the Waterbury Region
Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
Ability to develop effective relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood/Human Services/Child Studies or related field
Experience with Infants, Toddlers and Families
Service Coordination training (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent organizational skills and computer literacy

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations

Travel: Travel required within the Waterbury Region. Must have reliable transportation, have a driver’s license, and car insurance.
