Pay Rate: $17.20 per hour. We also offer access to our superb sport, fitness, and recreational facilities.

The Position:
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Member Services, the Customer Sales & Service Representative (CSSR) is part of a team that ensures all key indicators of sales and customer service are met and/or exceeded. The Customer Sales & Service team ensures all members and potential members receive excellent service and accurate information. As a member of our Rentals team, you will be an ambassador for our external rentals and events, monitoring court play, as well as ensuring events run smoothly from beginning to end.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Sales.
- You will work towards and achieve personal and team sales targets, and model excellence in both sales and service.
- You will cultivate a member-centered environment through exceptional customer service.
- You will make decisions and solve problems regarding membership sales and service functions, members' accounts, members' concerns, and members' behaviour.
- You will register new and existing clients for specialty programming.
- You will generate sales and donation leads, including calling members and prospective members to discuss membership and programs.
- You will actively promote new programs to members.
- Customer Service.
- You will be member-focused at all times.
- You will prioritize responsibilities to seek opportunities to initiate conversations with members and prospective members.
- You will handle membership inquiries by building rapport.
- You will ask probing questions to determine prospective member needs and interests.
- You will customize tours of the facility, linking member interests to program options.
- Rentals and Administration.
- You will coordinate with the Senior Coordinator, Member Services to have knowledge of all rentals taking place during your shift.
- You will monitor court use to ensure all health and safety protocols and rules are being followed.
- You will be an ambassador at events, by being aware of key details and supporting rentals associate in ensuring events run smoothly beginning to end.
- You will conduct cleanliness checks and arrange cleaning as necessary.
- You will track cash collected and transactions completed during shift.
- You will process hold and cancellation membership requests.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education and Experience.
- You are a high School graduate pursuing Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Business, Social Development, Health and Wellness, or related programs.
- You have previous sales, customer service and/or retail experience, preferably in a membership/client-based environment.
- Professional Skills.
- You can manage multiple demands through well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- You are a critical thinker who is decisive and prepared to make in-the-moment decisions. You have knowledge of inclusion, accessibility, and accommodations.
- You have experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity.
- You have well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills and can establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and visitors.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of ActiveNet or similar registration software.
- You are dedicated to customer service that exceeds expectations. You are a team player with a positive attitude whose interactions demonstrate accountability, authenticity, and collaboration.
- You must be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative.
- You pay keen attention to detail and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Administrative Requirements.
- You are required to have a current and clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector (VSC).
- You are required to have a current and valid First Aid and CPR ‘C’ / AED.
- Availability.
- You are to have flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
