Instructional Designer
Safal Partners is seeking a detail-oriented instructional systems designer to lead creative design, assist and finalize deliverables, and create effective e-learning and other training content. This person will work closely with Subject Matter Experts to design engaging content for stakeholders at the local, state, and federal levels. The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ years of instructional systems design theory/experience. This person will have experience creating innovative, interactive, and immersive learner-centric training solutions in appropriate delivery learning environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses, research and write instructional content based on interviews with subject matter experts and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs to brainstorm the design and development of creative instructional solutions that leverage the client’s technical environment.
- Develop high-quality learning content, such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and assessments.
- Design assessments that demonstrate learner mastery of learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain training standards and guidelines.
- Provide reviews and analysis of externally developed training products.
- Perform product testing.
- Coordinate and communicate with external product teams.
- Develop and maintain course documentation and records.
- Respond to customer service requests requiring advanced knowledge of training products and environments.
- Manage instructional development programs and records.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an LMS designer or administrator.
- 8+ years of experience with instructional design in multiple verticals (Web, ILT, Video, etc.) and adept with instructional design technologies and modalities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Documented experience creating learning experiences in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments.
- Experience with Kirkpatrick evaluation methodology.
- Experience with ADDIE model for course development.
- Strong verbal, organizational, presentation, writing, and customer service skills.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instructional design and e-learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal agency instructional design experience.
- 508 compliance experience.
- Human-centered design experience.
- Articulate 360
- Experience with video editing and production.
Location: Remote, must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to secure a public trust clearance.
