PTO

- Pro Rata Basis: Accrual rates for employees working 20-30 hours per week are on a pro rata basis.

Shift: Swing/Afternoon – specifics to be discussed in interview and/or at an offer stage.
Training: Alternatives provides thorough orientation and training for all new staff.
You can expect a one-week orientation, where you will learn all about Alternatives and be prepared for taking on your role.
After completing orientation, you will undergo a one-week specialized training for your role, in conjunction with an HR trainer.
These first two weeks are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, you will then move into your offered schedule after that.

What Skills do you need?
The Security Response Officer (SRO) must have at least one year of experience in security-based roles, with corrections experience being a plus. Success in this role requires a strong teamwork mindset, the flexibility to take on various duties as needed, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Attention to detail, clear documentation skills, and the capability to respond effectively to occasional emergencies are essential.
Must haves:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass federal drug screen process and background check.
- At least 1 years’ Experience in security and/or corrections work.

The Operations Supervisor at Passages has over 15 years of experience with the Agency and more than 30 years in corrections. She began her career as a Client Advisor and has worked diligently to build the successful Operations team at Passages.
The Client Advisor/Operations Department includes Security Response Officers (SROs), Client Advisor Supervisors, Client Advisor In-Charges, and various other Client Advisors and security staff. Together, they ensure smooth operations and maintain a safe environment for both residents and staff.
What will you do in this position?
As a Security Response Officer (SRO) at Passages, you will monitor and document security operations and incidents involving residents. You will also assist and occasionally work as a Client Advisor, helping with unit monitoring and other security functions. Flexibility is key, as you will need to assume various duties as needed, including monitoring secured units.
Your regular functions will include responding to all requests for assistance and emergencies, monitoring and regulating resident movement, maintaining a security presence and order, and patrolling the facility campus and perimeter. Additionally, you will perform Client Advisor duties such as headcounts, pat-downs, searches, and checking residents in and out of the facility. Being a team player is imperative in this position, ensuring the safety of staff and residents is always the top priority.
