PTO

Accrual: Start accruing PTO from your first paycheck. Full-time (40-hour) employees with 0-2 years of employment accrue 4.65 hours per pay period, totaling 15 days a year.
Increased Accrual with Tenure: Accrual rates increase at 3 years, 5 years, and every subsequent 5-year mark, up to 25+ years.
Pro Rata Basis: Accrual rates for employees working 20-30 hours per week are on a pro rata basis.

Paid Holidays

Full-Time Employees: Enjoy 11 paid holidays.
Part-Time Employees: Employees working 20-30 hours per week also receive paid holidays on a pro rata basis.

Starting Wage

Salary: The starting salary for this position is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule

Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility needed on occasion.

Training

Orientation: Alternatives provides thorough orientation and training for all new staff. You can expect a one-week orientation, where you will learn all about Alternatives and be prepared for your role. This first week is scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM at our Alternatives Training Center.

To be a successful Care Manager, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a combination of education and experience.
Compliance: Ability to pass a federal workplace drug screening and background check.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license.
Communication: Strong skills in engaging with community partners and agencies to maintain positive public relations.
Client Relations: Capability to interact with clients in a firm, fair, and consistent manner, maintaining respect and boundaries.
Documentation: Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

About the team

The Compass program at Alternatives, Inc. is an outpatient treatment program established in 2018 to enhance our client offerings. Our services include Substance Abuse Disorder and Mental Health treatment, Partner Family Member Assault programs, Anger Management, Criminal Thinking Error groups, and the ACT/Prime for Life program.

The team is led by an experienced Clinical Director with over five years at the Agency and extensive expertise in treatment and social services. She oversees a dedicated team of Licensed Addiction Counselors (LACs), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPCs), and Treatment Coordinators.

What you will do as a Care Manager:

As the Care Manager, you will provide care coordination and case management services to clients referred for substance use disorder treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct intake paperwork and client program orientation.
Track clients’ fees and payments, register clients for services, and manage overall compliance.
Maintain accurate data tracking, implement follow-up procedures, and complete thorough documentation.
Work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
Facilitate educational groups for clients over time.
Attend all assigned meetings.
