The Jesuit
Office of Advancement’s mission is to support the formation of Jesuit brothers
and priests, care for Senior Jesuits, and special projects assigned by the
Provincial.
The Development and Events Coordinator,
reporting to the Assistant Director, will play a critical role in supporting
the mission of the Jesuits of Canada by organizing all aspects of events and
engaging with donors to foster donor support. This position involves planning
and executing fundraising events, managing a specific donor relations
portfolio, and contributing to the overall development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising
events, including but not limited to galas, donor appreciation events, and
community outreach programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships
with donors, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
- Co-ordinate
all aspects for preparing and mailing appeals and Newsletter.
- Co-ordinate event logistics,
including development & achievement of critical timelines, venue
selection, catering, invitations, and promotional materials.
- Create and manage event budgets,
timelines, and post-event evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team to
develop and implement strategies to meet fundraising goals.
- Maintain accurate records of donor
interactions and event details in the database.
- Assist in the creation of donor
recognition programs and stewardship activities.
- Prepare event-related materials such as
invitations, programs, and thank-you notes.
- Attend all Jesuit related events, upon
request.
- Perform general office duties, as
requested.
Support
the Assistant Director of Advancement and other team members with various tasks
as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Event
Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in
event planning, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Excellent organizational, time management
and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication
skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and
Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Strong written and verbal communication
skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part
of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
as needed for events.
