Job Summary
Provide direct support to clients as directed, deemed or appropriate at the request and/or direction of supervisory staff. Direct support includes interpretation and translation of documents and transportation services relating to clients, program and agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation services, both within the agency/program and to outside the Agency partners, if applicable
- Provide translation services, both within the agency/program and to outside the agency partners, if applicable
- Provide transportation, as deemed necessary, from the airport (arrival), for DHS. Social Security, health appointments, employment services clothing, supportive services, etc.
- Must have the ability to conduct in person and virtual interpretation services via Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Case note all appropriate contacts and activities as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High school education.
- Experience: Directly related experience preferred.
- Required Licenses, Certifications, and Training: A valid Michigan Driver License, access to reliable transportation and maintain appropriate insurance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This position is on-site and may not be eligible for remote work
- Attendance at occasional meetings or events outside regular business hours is required
- The role involves working with sensitive or potentially traumatic information and direct interaction with individuals or families in crisis
- Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; talking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds
- Vision requirements include close-up work, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- The work environment may involve varying degrees of physical discomfort and occasional loud noise
- Occasional driving, potentially with Clients, during the workday may be needed for operational purposes
