SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Associate partners with the Recruiting and Training teams to complete the Talent Acquisition process for all new hires. The talent acquisition associate creates a positive and comfortable candidate experience by supporting all administrative tasks that are a part of the process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Associate will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Delivers a positive, consistent candidate experience through all Talent Acquisition touch points to implement the company's Talent Acquisition Strategy and enhance the company's Employer Brand.
- Takes ownership of onboarding processes and serves as the liaison between the recruiters and candidates.
- Works with the recruiting team to ensure that the target number of candidates are processed within the prescribed timeframe to meet the needs of the programs.
- Explains the onboarding process to each candidate and provides support to ensure understanding of expectations.
- Coordinates and schedules New Hire Orientation session with training team. Communicates orientation and training expectations will all new hires during the onboarding process.
- Reviews and approves all onboarding documentation including agency forms, acknowledgements, state documents, licenses, education, and certifications.
- Contacts candidate’s former employer(s) to verify professional references; verifies character references when appropriate.
- Registers and schedules candidates for external compliance appointments such as fingerprinting.
- Completes employer portion of I-9 Form and verifies proof of identity and employment authorization using E -Verify.
- Processes SCR (State Central Registry), SEL (Staff Exclusion List) and Medicare Exclusion background checks.
- Completes and submits ADAPT Driver’s License Verification Form and Fingerprint Packet to Human Resources Administration for applicable candidates.
- Checks internal and external compliance reporting systems to obtain candidate status as it relates to clearance.
- Performs routine check ins with new hires to ensure active engagement in the onboarding process.
- Maintains ongoing communication with Hiring Managers to provide candidate status updates and discuss changes to contingent offers when applicable.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Maintains professionalism and positivity throughout the onboarding process.
- Maintains electronic repository of completed new hire files prior to handoff with Human Resources.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development trainings.
- Seeks out opportunities to improve process efficiencies.
- Assists with training fellow Talent Acquisition Associates.
- Keeps abreast of changes in the field.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of Human Resources, Workforce Development, or related experience preferred
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred. Paylocity experience is a HUGE plus!
- Experience processing I-9's, E-Verify, and background checks is preferred.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. This is a hybrid opportunity. During training, you will be asked to work in-person full-time. Then must commit to 2 or 3 days/week in-person in our downtown Manhattan office.
COMPENSATION: $50,000 Annually + Industry Leading Benefits!
