We are currently in search of a Business and Operations Manager for an Arts and Culture Nonprofit. The position is Hybrid in New York, NY. This is a full time, temporary (possibly temp-to-perm) position with an anticipated salary of $70,000 to $75,000.

LOCATION: New York, NY
POSITION TITLE: Business and Operations Manager
SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hours/week, Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
DURATION: Temporary (could be temp-to-permanent hire for the right candidate)
HOURLY: $29.00 - $32.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Business and Operations Manager will be involved in several duties including but not limited to operations, coordination of budgeting/overall accounting, working with finance and audit committees, etc. This role will work closely with the Board and Finance chair. The manager will also oversee some HR responsibilities including onboarding, offboarding, benefits management, compliance training, etc.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 5+ years of operations/office management experience required
· Proven ability to work with vendors required
· Well-versed in accounting/finance principles for nonprofits required
· Comfortable navigating through ongoing staff changes required
· HR Experience (especially with onboarding/offboarding/training compliance) preferred
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Work with organization’s vendor to oversee budgeting and overall accounting
- Coordinate with finance and audit committees
- Oversee day to day/long term operations
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits, etc.
- Stay up to date with compliance training
- Manage ad-hoc accounting and HR tasks
