Summer Camp Lifeguard

Ensure the safety of campers by supervising the assigned pool area and maintaining a clean, organized environment. As a YMCA Lifeguard, you will communicate with the Aquatics Director, enforce pool rules, and respond effectively to emergencies.

Duties:

Supervise swimmers to ensure their safety and prevent accidents in the pool area.

Enforce pool rules to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, or other necessary interventions as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including removing hazards and ensuring proper pool equipment is in place.

Communicate with aquatics staff and report any safety concerns or incidents to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment for all.

Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age.

Applicants must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

After camp swim lessons on select days 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
