JOB SUMMARY: A Driver Helper works with company drivers to safely load and unload donations, products or equipment for stores and attended donation centers. Driver Helpers are responsible for all tasks except for truck driving.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
� Assists driver in loading/unloading trucks/trailers and staging donations, products or equipment for pickup.
� Unload donations and equipment in the warehouse or for donation drives, if necessary.
� Communicates with supervisor, as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
� Bale textiles and safely operate the bailing machine.
� Safely operate the tipper as referenced in the training manual.
� Abide by the policies and procedures set forth by management and the agency.
� Interacts with co-workers, customers, and assists with filling out paperwork to record deliveries.
� Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
� Maintain a positive attitude with team/department.
� Maintain good public relations with customers.
� Maintains regular attendance and work hours.
� Develop cooperative communication with intradepartmental peers.
� Assist in production or warehousing.
� Attend all trainings and meetings as necessary.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Liaising with the transportation managers or the Director of Logistics to notify the driver of any changes to daily routes.
� Ensure quality and timeliness of work.
� Perform other duties as assigned/needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
� High School degree or GED, preferred.
� Must be forklift certified.
� Clear communication skills with supervisor and warehouse personnel as well as with the public at times.
� Ability to work well with others and follow instructions from Supervisor.
� Ability to read and complete paperwork.
� Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
� Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver�s license.

� Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
� Works in warehouse environment, retail store, donation center and truck environment most of the time and will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt and pollen as well as extreme heat and cold and severe weather conditions.
� Must be available to work during operating hours as needed for business operations. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and black periods which may vary from week to week as well as occasional overtime when approved by management.
� Moderate noise level.
� Works 40 hours per week or more when required
